Ground Theory Training
In conjunction with the Flying Training, a student is required to pass exams in the theory of Helicopter Flying and Operation. The exams required depend on the type of Helicopter Licence and any Fixed Wing Licences held. Subjects include Principles of Helicopter Flight & Aerodynamics, Navigation, Meteorology, Flight Rules & Air Law, Performance & Operations, Engines & Systems. There are several ways to study the ground component of your training, to suit your own schedules and requirements.

1. Private or group tuition through HELICOPTERS Pty Ltd, with professional University/TAFE ground instructors.

2. TAFE full time or part time courses.

3. Home study packages. Once you have completed the theory training you will sit either Private or Commercial Exam set by CASA.

On Completion of Your Pilot Licence Helicopters Pty Ltd Professional Instructors can train you from your first flying hour all the way through to a Private or Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licence. Once you have your Private or Commercial Licence we can also provide all the additional training for the specific type of employment you are seeking as a Professional Helicopter Pilot:
